So, what got me into this business?
It started with my mom—a true force of nature. She was a fitness instructor, firefighter, and a passionate horse rider. But everything changed the day she fell from her horse at the age of 57. The fall resulted in a fractured pelvis, and that’s when we discovered she had osteoporosis. It was shocking, not just because of the injury, but because we hadn’t seen it coming. She was strong, active, and a total badass. Osteoporosis wasn’t even on her radar.
That’s the issue with osteoporosis. It's often silent until a fracture occurs, and by then, the damage is done. My mom’s story is just one of many. Did you know that one out of two people who suffer a hip fracture after age 50 never fully recover? It’s an alarming statistic, especially considering how diligently we screen for conditions like cancer, yet we often overlook something as serious as bone density loss.
But my mom’s story didn’t end with that diagnosis. The doctors immediately recommended pharmaceuticals to help manage her condition.
